April M. Cruz serves as Career Navigator for the Alamo Bridges Workforce Initiative at Texas A&M University San Antonio. In this role, she leads employer engagement, internship development, and stakeholder coordination to strengthen pathways to Competitive Integrated Employment for individuals with disabilities.

With a background in workforce development, intergenerational systems, and public policy, April brings a strategic and equity centered lens to program implementation. She works collaboratively with vocational rehabilitation professionals, community partners, and employers to align training, assistive technology integration, and career placement efforts with measurable outcomes and long-term sustainability.

April holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and has extensive experience supporting underserved communities through dual-generation and workforce advancement initiatives. Her work centers on expanding access, increasing opportunity, and building structured systems that support both accountability and impact.

Through Alamo Bridges, she is committed to strengthening community partnerships, enhancing data driven program implementation, and advancing innovative approaches that improve employment outcomes.
